A corner room like all the others at Verandas, Room 3 also has a private en suite bathroom with marble vanity, marble floor, and garden size soaking tub. The bathroom wallpaper is a sophisticated, Chinese-style cherry blossom print on a grayish silver background. Complete with decorative fireplace, the guest room is very dramatic and bold with full-length draperies in a black and gold horizontal stripe pattern. A classic wallpaper border in black, gold, and silver tops the light gray walls. The mantel of the decorative fireplace displays items from the innkeeper’s collection of collectibles and artifacts. There are two comfortable chairs, an antique dresser with obelisks that hold the mirror. The small desk was formerly a melodeon and sits underneath a window, next to a decorative fireplace. A four-poster rice bed completes the room. This room has access to both the upper front and back verandas from the second floor hallway, perfect for enjoying an evening aperitif or after dinner drink. The room has a 10-1/2 foot ceiling.
